How to Set Up Your Digital Planner

Step 1: Open the Google Drive folder

To get started, open the Link PDF that you downloaded from Etsy and click the Google Drive link. If you haven’t downloaded the PDF that contains the Google Drive link yet, please follow these instructions to do so.

Step 2: Install the iOS shortcut (for iOS-integrated planners only)

In the Google Drive folder, open the iOS Shortcuts folder and then open the PDF inside. In the PDF, click the shortcut link that corresponds to your digital planning app. In the pop-up that appears, click Add Shortcut.

Step 3: Choose a planner

In the Google Drive folder, open the Planners folder and select your planner options by clicking through the subsequent folders. Some folders contain an Options PDF that you can open to see the available options.

Step 4: Download the planner

If you’re using an internet browser (such as Safari or Chrome): Tap the file to open it. Then, tap the Download (downward arrow) button in the top-right corner of the screen. For iOS users only: The next step is to tap the Share (box with arrow) button in the top-right corner of the screen. Then, tap Save to Files.

If you’re using the Google Drive app: Tap the three dots next to the file name. For iOS users, tap Open in and then Save to Files. For Android users, tap Download.

Step 5: Download the stickers and covers

In the Google Drive folder, open the Stickers and Covers folder. Then, download each file in the same way that you just downloaded the planner in Step 4 above.

Step 6: Unzip the stickers

iOS: Go to the Files app. Then, locate each stickers file and tap it. The unzipped contents will appear shortly.

Android: There are several apps for unzipping files. Please find instructions for the Files by Google app here:

Step 7: Import the planner and covers into your digital planning app

On the GoodNotes home page, tap New… In the menu that appears, tap Import. Then, locate the planner file and tap it. Repeat this process with the covers file.

On the Notability home page, tap the Import button in the top-right corner. In the menu that appears, tap Files. Locate the planner and tap it. Then, tap Create New Note. Repeat this process with the covers file. Please note that Notability is not compatible with the iPad-integrated planners!

Other apps

Please refer to your app’s support pages for how to import files, as every app differs.

Step 8: Sign up for planner updates (optional)

In the unlikely event that the link to the Google Drive folder changes, you’ll need the new link if you ever want to re-download the files. To sign up, simply click the sign-up link in the Link PDF and fill out the form!
