How to Use the Neutral Digital Journal
Navigate through the journal with hyperlinks! For how to use hyperlinks, please see Paper July’s GoodNotes instructions and Notability instructions.
You can navigate through the monthly and daily pages by using the navigation bar at the top of the journal. To reach the contents page, tap the hidden hyperlink on the line below the navigation bar of every monthly and daily page.
If you’d like more space to write, you can duplicate any daily page. All the hyperlinks will work in the duplicated page, and it won’t affect the journal navigation.
GoodNotes instructions:
1. Go to the daily page you want to copy.
2. Tap the Insert Page (+ sign inside a rectangle) button in the top-right corner of the screen.
3. Tap the page thumbnail labeled Current Template.
Notability instructions:
1. Go to the daily page you want to copy.
2. Tap the Pages button in the top-right corner of the screen.
3. In the sidebar that appears, tap the three dots next to the current page.
4. In the menu that appears, tap Copy Background.
5. Tap the three dots next to the current page again.
6. In the menu that appears, tap Paste.
Many note-taking apps, such as GoodNotes and Notability, have a home page where you can view all your documents. In these apps, you can change a document’s display thumbnail by changing the first page of that document.
