How to Use GoodNotes Sticker Books

Before you can start using the stickers in a GoodNotes sticker book, you’ll need to import the .goodnotes file into GoodNotes. For instructions on importing files into GoodNotes, see Paper July’s guide here.

Method 1: Copy and paste a sticker

Step 1: Copy a sticker

  1. Open the sticker book in GoodNotes.
  2. Tap the Lasso tool in the toolbar (visible when GoodNotes is not in read-only mode).
  3. Draw around the sticker you want to use. A dotted shape should appear around the sticker.
  4. Tap inside the dotted shape and select Copy.

Step 2: Paste the sticker

  1. In GoodNotes, open the document to which you want to add the sticker.
  2. Tap the Lasso tool in the toolbar (visible when GoodNotes is not in read-only mode).
  3. Press and hold where you want to paste the sticker. In the menu that appears, tap Paste.

Method 2: Drag and drop a sticker in split view

  1. In GoodNotes, split the screen with the sticker book on one side and the document to which you want to add the sticker on the other side. See GoodNotes’ instructions here for how to open two documents in split view.
  2. Tap the Lasso tool in the toolbar of the sticker book (visible when GoodNotes is not in read-only mode).
  3. Draw around the sticker you want to use. A dotted shape should appear around the sticker.
  4. Press and hold inside the dotted shape until a copy lifts off the screen.
  5. Drag and drop the sticker into the target document.
